Backrooms is a horror-exploration survival game based on the internet phenomena of the same name, which is a creepypasta (urban legend) about an unending area outside of reality. You are in an infinite labyrinth of empty rooms and hallways with dull fluorescent lights, wet, old carpets, and a feeling of dread, strangeness, and no way out.
To locate a route out of the Backrooms, you must guide your character through the never-ending hallways and rooms.
Ensure you don't linger in this area for too long or let "something" chase you.

Explore an endless maze.
The random creation of rooms and hallways makes each game unique.
To advance, you will go through areas, look for hints, and sometimes complete side missions.
A sensation of unease and alienation is created by the room's often depressing fluorescent lighting, pale yellow walls, and wet, moldy carpeting.
Unlike typical jump scares, the sound and surroundings often induce fear.
You have to evade or get away from creatures that follow you or come out of nowhere in some Backroom editions.
A system of little duties, such as figuring out the next step or opening doors, could be in place.
Play right in your browser without having to install anything.
Instead than relying heavily on jump scares, the horror experience is built on the surroundings and mood.
Because the labyrinth layout is random, each playthrough may be unique.
