Always try the ACT command before swinging your weapon; many encounters can be resolved peacefully without shedding a drop of blood if you know how to appeal to the enemy's mindset.

Don't underestimate the DEFEND button. Beyond just reducing incoming damage, defending is the safest way to fully charge your TP gauge.

Be bold and graze your SOUL against incoming projectiles to build TP quickly, but don't get too greedy, or you risk taking critical damage.

Every boss has its own unique rhythm and attack patterns. Once you observe the patterns, weaving through their attacks becomes much more manageable.
