Slither.io

Online survival game Slither.io is massively multiplayer! It mixes snake game concepts with open-world combat competition. Your mission is to control a snake-like creature, collecting energy to increase its size. You must also defeat opponents to become the server's largest.

How to play Slither.io

Move around the map to absorb static light particles to gradually increase your length and body size.

Head-on collisions kill players instantaneously. Unlike classic gameplay, hitting yourself or the map boundary is not lethal.

When a snake is defeated, its entire body mass transforms into massive energy particles. Anyone who absorbs this energy will grow at a very rapid rate.

Use the acceleration control to achieve higher speeds. This process will gradually shorten your body length and leave energy particles along the path of movement.

Controls

Navigation: Drag the mouse cursor to orient your movement.

Acceleration: Press and hold the left mouse button or the Space key to activate high speed.

Attack and Defense Tactics

Use acceleration to dash forward and suddenly change direction to block the enemy's path. This manoeuvre forces the target to react in time and crash straight into your body.

When you have a superior body length, move in a circular trajectory to trap smaller opponents inside. Gradually narrow the circle until the target has no more space to move.

Move at a safe distance near large engagements or follow giant snakes. When an enemy is defeated, quickly activate high speed to collect the scattered energy and retreat.

When you notice an enemy trying to cut across your path, immediately steer your head to hide in the middle of your body. The mechanism that allows one to pass through their own body will create an absolutely safe physical shield.
