Wave Race is a fast-paced 2D arcade skill game that tests your reflexes and focus as you navigate shifting geometric mazes.

Free from complex controls, Wave Race focuses entirely on the experience of navigating vertical space along a classic wave-like trajectory, paired with an addictive, instant-retry loop.

    Game Mode Details

    Wave Race

In Wave Race, your arrow automatically surges forward horizontally at a constant speed. The core gameplay revolves around altitude management: hold the key to ascend diagonally and release it to dive diagonally. Distinct objectives and challenges await you in each mode:

Classic: Complete 33 pre-set levels to cross the finish line. The terrain is set, with convenient waypoints. Learn the rhythm of the terrain, train your responses based on patterns.

Endless: Stay alive and go as far as possible. Obstacles are constantly emerging, denser and faster as time passes.

Speed Race: Race your rival arrows to the finish line on the same course. The route has plenty of curves and narrow sections, making it a very competitive encounter.

Tactical Tips to Become a Pro

    Read the Gap

A common mistake made by beginners is to fixate on approaching spikes or saw blades and respond in panic. Instead, concentrate on the wide area between obstructions. See your way out a step or two in advance, and your hands will automatically and effortlessly change your altitude.

    Micro-Tapping

When navigating narrow horizontal corridors, holding the key too long causes you to crash into the ceiling, while releasing it too soon sends you plummeting into floor traps. Practice rapidly clicking the mouse or tapping the spacebar using short, steady intervals. This technique eliminates the arrow's downward pitch, keeping its flight path almost perfectly horizontal.

    Adjust your altitude early

Don't wait until you are right at the edge of a wall to pull the arrow up. Proactively gain altitude or lower the arrow while still in the open space ahead. Entering a turn with a smooth, gradual angle is always safer than making a frantic course correction at the last millisecond.

Use checkpoints to master the rhythm

When doing hard Classic levels, think of the space between two checkpoints as a separate practice drill. Don't get disheartened if you crash over and over. Each failure is a benefit as you will memorise the gear's rotation cycle and the exact timing you should release the key.
