Rules of Exploration

The research facility is a deadly maze. Do not simply rush blindly forward.

Expand the Map: Keep moving around and engaging with the side-scrolling world. As you unlock new regions, you will not only find the route to escape but also crucial survival materials.

Be Vigilant: Dark hides foes and pitfalls. Search carefully; seek weapons, secret passages, or vital supplies in the most unlikely places.

Rules of Combat

Combat in Last Light is not about "Rambo-style" spray-and-pray tactics; it is an exercise in precision.

Conserve Every Round: Ammunition is incredibly scarce. Don't panic; don't waste bullets. Take precise aim and only shoot when you must—running out of ammo with a horde of zombies bearing down is “Game Over.”

Assess the Risk: Assess the circumstance before taking action. Sometimes, avoiding foes or finding another way is a smarter choice than going head to head.

Rules of Managing Resources

To survive in Last Light, you need four important lifelines: Coins, Power, Time, and Items.

Coins: Don't waste your money on pointless things.

Power: Everything you have needs power. Lights, defensive systems. Wield your power wisely to create temporary safe havens, or impede the approach of your adversaries.

Time: Do not linger in one spot for too long. Enemies will grow both stronger and more numerous. Be decisive in every action you take.

Upgrade Rules

Enemies will become increasingly dangerous as you venture deeper into the facility. Basic weapons will soon become ineffective.

Upgrade your guns at the right time: Watch your progress and improve your guns when you can. Killing creatures faster with an upgraded weapon saves ammo and health.

Outfit strategy: Your playstyle and resources determine whether you improve firepower or reload speed.
